UCDngl
Terms of use
Draft last updated: 15 October 2026
These draft terms govern access to UCDngl. By using the service, you agree to follow these terms and the Community and content rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Operator and relationship with UCD
UCDngl is operated personally. It is an independent, free student-oriented project intended for University College Dublin (UCD) students. It is not operated, sponsored, approved or endorsed by UCD, and UCD is not responsible for it. Unless access is restricted through verified UCD authentication, the operator cannot guarantee that every user is a UCD student. No fee is charged and no paid features are offered under the current setup.
2. Who may use it
The service is intended for UCD students aged 17 or older. Do not use it if you are under 17. The site does not necessarily verify age or student status. You must comply with applicable law and must not use the service to harm, identify, threaten or harass anyone.
3. User content
You remain responsible for the content you submit and must have the rights and lawful basis needed to submit it. Do not post personal data about another person, accusations identifying a person, confidential information, copyrighted material you lack permission to use, unlawful content or content prohibited by the Community and content rules.
You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your submitted content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate and promote the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies retained for backups, security, legal compliance or legal claims. The operator must review this licence for suitability before launch.
4. Moderation and removal
The operator may restrict, hide or remove content and limit access where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, address reports, prevent abuse, comply with law or protect users. Automated moderation may make mistakes and may be supplemented by human review. Where applicable law requires reasons or an appeal route, the operator will provide them.
5. Availability and deletion
The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Timed content is intended to expire from public display after the selected duration, but backups or records may remain for a limited period as described in the Privacy Notice. The operator may suspend or discontinue features, subject to applicable law.
6. No emergency service
The board is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency or counselling service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
7. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including mandatory consumer rights, or removes rights that cannot legally be waived. Any liability limitation must be reviewed for the operator’s status, jurisdiction and audience before launch.
8. Complaints and legal notices
Use the reporting page for content notices. The contact details must be completed and monitored before launch.
9. Free access
The operator currently provides access without a fee and does not offer paid features. The service may be changed or discontinued subject to applicable law. If fees or monetisation are introduced, these terms and the privacy notice must be reviewed and updated first.
10. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated with notice where required. The operator must insert the applicable governing law and venue only after confirming the relevant facts; mandatory consumer protections in a user’s country continue to apply where required.
